The Clos Lucé, a Film Location at the Heart of the Renaissance

We are at your disposal to assist you in organising your film shoots and to offer you the most suitable spaces for your projects.

Leonardo da Vinci’s final home, the Château du Clos Lucé, is an iconic Renaissance site, richly imbued with the master’s presence. Entirely restored with its period furniture, the château faithfully recreates the atmosphere in which he lived and created.

The site offers a wide variety of settings: Leonardo da Vinci’s living quarters, historic rooms, the Leonardo da Vinci Painter and Architect Galleries, a 7-hectare landscaped park, a terrace with a breathtaking view over Amboise, and the famous underground passage which, according to legend, connected the Château d’Amboise to the Clos Lucé, allowing Francis I to visit Leonardo da Vinci…

These different spaces make it easy to alternate between indoor and outdoor settings. They are particularly well-suited to the production of historical films and documentaries on Leonardo da Vinci, the Renaissance, the history of arts and sciences, cultural reports, and photographic shoots.

More understated rooms are also available to meet the technical requirements of the shoot or for sequences requiring a more neutral setting.
