Parc Leonardo da Vinci

Experience Leonardo's Creative World

In the château’s wooded grounds, an informative and entertaining walk invites you to discover 20 life-size models based on Leonardo da Vinci’s drawings. Climb aboard the assault tank, spin the propeller of the aerial screw, turn the paddle wheel or the Archimedes screw, and work the squirrel wheel to understand how they function.

All along the route, translucent canvases three to four metres high, suspended from the trees, reveal the light in the faces painted by Leonardo, the beauty of the human form, the mechanics of life, his technical projects, and his ideal city…

As you explore, cross all the bridges designed by Leonardo: the self-supporting bridge, the swing bridge, the bridge on stilts, the two-level bridge, and the Golden Horn Bridge, which was intended to link the two shores of the Bosphorus.

A six-stop audio tour enriches your experience, bringing to life the artist’s reflections on botany, the human body, and the art of portraiture. Take a seat on a bench, close your eyes and let yourself be carried away…

Your discoveries continue in Leonardo’s Garden, situated below the château. This natural space was designed as a living painting. Here you will find the pines, ash trees, cypresses and plants depicted in his paintings, along with rocks, a grotto, springs and waterfalls.
