Where did Leonardo get his brilliant ideas from? For children from 7 to 12, Le Clos Lucé offers Le Carnet de l’Inventeur (The Inventor’s Notebook), a booklet to introduce Le Clos Lucé in a fun way. Each child becomes one of Leonardo’s students, and he tells them his “tricks and tips”, giving them key information to invent an incredible machine.

Carry on the adventure in the “Cour de Grands” cultural visits, exploring the partner sites in Anjou and Touraine.

At Le Clos Lucé, Leonardo found a special inspiration that he shared with his disciples, passing on to them the secret of his techniques.Today, drawing and painting workshops led by Nicole Caplain, internationally-renowned painter, are open to adults and children.They are aimed at giving all art lovers (young and older) an introduction to artistic techniques, or the chance to improve them, and to come alive to art. Nicole Caplain teaches techniques inspired by those of the Italian Master for drawing, as well as using pastels, acrylics, watercolours and oils.These are group activities, but Nicole Caplain helps everyone as they create their works of art. Each year, in September, pictures produced by participants are exhibited in the workshop.

Here at Le Clos Lucé, we are keen to help families really enjoy their visit. To make sure that it is as successful as possible, we have available:
