Admire the 40 translucent canvases

On the bends in the paths, 40 giant translucent canvases 3 to 4 metres high, reveal different facets of Leonardo da Vinci’s work: the light of faces (portraits and facial expressions), the beauty of bodies (silhouettes, shapes and muscles), the mechanics of life (anatomy and botany), technical intuition (civil and military engineering) and the ideal city (architecture and town planning).

The Château du Clos Lucé brings to life the botanical drawings, geological studies and the landscapes of the Master. The pigeon loft at the Château du  Clos Lucé, square on the outside and octagonal on the inside, is unique in Touraine. With its 1000 pigeonholes, it constituted a real source of wealth for its owner.
